USEFUL, different: Filters of zero resistance and their role in an exhaust system
Filters of zero resistance and their role in an exhaust systemEngine tuning begins with an admission and air release: the motor needs to "breathe". We put on an admission the filter of zero resistance, and for release at least direct-flow back to "bank". It is even better to establish completely direct-flow system, beginning from a collector to back "banks".

    What filters happen

The air filter clears air before it will get to the engine. It would Seem, the purer air will get to the engine, the car work will be more powerful. But alas: the majority of racing engines, especially for professional racing cars, is not equipped with air filters. Filters create resistance of air on an admission, and the more resistance, the capacity of the engine is more strongly lost. Usual paper elements have the big resistance to an air stream because the filter material is very dense. Alternative – "0", filters of the zero resistance, a filtering which material — the cotton gauze passing without decrease of filtering ability at least on 50 % of more air, than usual regular filters.

    different: Engine tuning - turbo
Engine tuning - turboAnswers for five most common questions about the compressor.

Remember how you feel by completing a few dozen push-ups or run three kilometers of cross-country race. Approximately the same is the engine of your car when you drive up the hill, or "fly" on the highway.

More and more modern cars have "life-giving air, giving them an additional" force "from the turbo. Despite the fact that this unit was used in the automotive, aircraft and other engines for most of this century, only about ten years ago, turbo still considered only a "toy" for the "exotic" and "a particularly powerful" machines.

BMW USED CARS, 3 series: BMW e36 (M50/M52 Engine) 325i/328i models Tuning Guide
BMW e36 (M50/M52 Engine) 325i/328i models Tuning GuideWhile both engines are seen in the same coupe, four-door and convertible E36 platforms, they're slightly different. Both share the same cylinder head and block, with an 84mm cylinder bore, but the 328i's increased displacement comes from a longer stroke (84mm vs 75mm for the 325i).

325I And 328I Engine Tuning Bmw Manifolds

Since BMW sought more mid-range power for the 328i, it used a choked-down version of the 325i's intake manifold (which was also found on the E36 M3 3.2 in '96). The resulting 206 lb/ft at 3950rpm significantly bettered the M50's 181 lb/ft at 4200rpm. However, the M52 manifold's decreased intake runner diameter cost it top end grunt. That's why both the OBD1 M50 engine found in the '92-95 325i and the OBD2 M52 found in the '96-98 328i share the same peak 189hp rating at the flywheel.

As we're always keen to point out, you don't have to live with stock power any longer. We've hunted down some key tuners who take these cars to the next level.
