bmw autos reviews: Be A Designer: We will draw the BMW 7 Series just the way you want to
After the huge success of the first Be A Designer project (BMW 3 Series Sedan redesign), there were many requests that we should continue down the same path and give you, our readers, and any other BMW fans the opportunity to express your opinion regarding the design lines of a BMW production model.
The project is a joint venture between your BMWBLOG, Automarket.ro and rendering artist Andrei Arvavarii and it is sponsored by Classic BMW Ohio who believed in this project and continues to support it.
In present crisis conditions to predict that or, all the same what to stick bad shot. Today the forecast is actual, brings positive result, and tomorrow it can look simply absurd. In such situation insurers put forward different assumptions, try to advance a situation and to make the decision. Many insurance companies have already lost on an incorrect market opinion and at the best have lost money or in general were broke. In all this porridge two confronting camps are allocated: Proud optimists and early pessimists.
The BMW M50 is an I6 piston motor. It was introduced in 1989 to change M20 one and was replaced by the M52 motor in 1994. Displacement ranges from 2.0 L to 3.0 L. It is a DOHC 24-valve engine. A Technical Update or M50TU version from 1992 introduced VANOS variable valve timing.
The M50 was related to the M20 with the same 91 mm cylinder spacing, bore, and stroke at 2.0 L and 2.5 L.
As the E30 3 Series established itself as a full line including compact coupes, sedans and convertibles. The 3 Series quickly became the envy of the the industry with likes of the Cadillac Cimarron and Audio 4000 Quattro were nothing more than cheap imitations. BMW was now faced with replacing a perfect specimen, anything short of that would hail big time sales danger.
The E36 brethren to the E30 was a jump forward in body styling with different proportions and styling breaking out of the details established by the 2002, this was an all new machine.
bmw autos reviews: BMW Rahal Letterman Wins ALMS GT2 at Road America
Back in 2008, we were at the Chicago Auto Show for the unveiling of the BMW M3 GT2. It was the first time we had the opportunity to see the M3 racing car and also learn about the new BMW Rahal Letterman Team. Yesterday, over a year later, for the first time we attended an American LeMans race, an event which took place at Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin.
And for the first time, BMW Rahal Letterman scored the program’s first victory with a 1-2 finish. We’re glad we were part of the BMW Motorsport history in the U.S and we would like to thank BMW North American and BMW Rahal Letterman team for allowing us to attend the event and live an unique experience. As usual, we have some great photos and videos from this race and we will have them available to you within the next few days.
bmw autos reviews: Spy Shots: BMW continues testing the future M5 (F10)
There are rumors and then there are controversial rumors and of those ones revolves around the future BMW M5 which will launch in 2012. For months there have been several reports that BMW is shifting their M cars towards turbo engines and the M5 will make no exception. But the plot thickens around this model, especially when people close to the company speak of the testing stage where two engines are being scrutinized: V8 and V10 twin-turbo engines.
The V10 engine is based on the V8, but features two extra cylinders. Two gearboxes are being considered, an updated 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox (DCT) or a more advanced 8-speed SMG. Speculations around the M5 have already begun with many people mentioning a power output of 550 horsepower or more.
bmw autos reviews: Photos and Videos: BMW Rahal Letterman M3 GT2 at Road America
These past two days, we had the privilege to attend our first American LeMans race at the beautiful and fast Road America track. Being part of the media can have some advantages….. sometimes…. and BMW North America Motorsport has invited us to join them for this event, an event that coincided with their first ALMS GT2 win since the BMW Rahal Letterman has launched.
If last weekend BMW scored a podium at Mid-Ohio, this time, team took it all. Tommy Milner/Dirk Mueller and Joe Hand/Bill Auberlen won the top positions after an exact race controlled entirely by them from the beginning until the finish flag.
