Everyone had warned me that I didn't want a rear wheel drive car for winter driving, so when the first decent snowstorm hit Rhode Island, I decided it was time to see what they were talking about. I grabbed the camera, jumped into my 1991 5-Series BMW (without ASC!) on Pirelli P6000 All-Season tires, and headed for the snow.

Since this is my first rear wheel driver car, I had a lot of learning to do. Following my friend Josh's lead, I went to a deserted parking lot with about six inches of snow. This was a mistake. The parking lot had a very slight incline, but it was enough to render my car immobile. After kicking some snow away from the rear tires, I was able to back out of the lot (downhill).

The i at the end of the designation previously set fuel injected engine models a part from other variants. To-day all models incorporate fuel injection into a sophisticated and reliable engine management system and therefore no petrol driven model with be found without the distinctive i. Other body variants of the 3 series exist such as the Coupe (2 door), Convertible (soft top/hard top) and the Touring (station wagon), the model designations for which are much the same as for the 4 door saloon models. The body shape and size of each 3 series variant is identical in every way to the other.

How do i open the hood of my 1988 bmw 740i?
i left the lights on and my battery has run down. the locks on this car are electric so now i cant get into my car to open my hood to replace or jumpstart the battery. i was wondering if there was an alternate way to get my hood open or somehow get into my car without really taking anything apart.

please use your key and open the trunk. the battery is there.once your jump start or replace new battery,your alarm system will trigger.please keep your remote availble to stop the alarm. you will have to lock your trunk manually again before u can use the remote control without problems.
if car doest not start,insert your key and once u see the lights appear on cluster,u press the reset button manually.
now start the car.once started.you can off the engine.come out of your car and lock your car with remote.again open and then you start your engine.
it shud start without problems now. good luck.

Well, that takes the wind out of your sails. Especially when driving BMW's 335i version of its new 3 Series Coupé, which has under the hood a 3.0-litre, direct injected, twin-turbo, inline six-cylinder engine that makes a whopping 300 horsepower and matching 300 lb-ft of torque.

The BMW engineers gathered at this event seemed particularly well pleased with these numbers, feeling that with the 335i they have conquered the contradictions between power and tractability, and furthermore, between ride and handling. Typically you can have one or each, but in the 335i, that conventional wisdom has truly gone away.
