Dealing with Driver Fatigue: SAFE Driving.

Fatigue among drivers is a complicated problem. Initially, one may experience feeling well, awake, and prepared to take up the trip on the way. But the farther you go, the less apparent it becomes. A minor change may have a great impact on the duration of your sleep time.

There is one easy trick: remember to keep your mind going. Along long straight highways the road may appear to go endlessly. Make sure you have something to think about, talk to someone on a plane or listen to a podcast. Never mind, but do not overdo it. Even too much mental stimulation is counterproductive to what you desire, and you feel even more tired. Do not turn the discussion into a serious quarrel that drains your strength.
